James Martin invites Alex Jones back to Ammanford, the Welsh mining town she grew up in, to find out who lives there now. It's a trip down memory lane for Alex as she remembers the strong sense of community the town had when she was a child. Together, she and James meet the locals and set up an in-person social network in a campaign designed to tackle the growing issue of loneliness in the UK. Britain is one of the loneliest places to live in Europe and James sets out to discover the causes and possible solutions. He finds out that there are organisations all over the UK that can help people who feel lonely.
