After fighting Lucci in Gear Third for a minute, Luffy is left to cope with the technique's side effect of his body shrinking to a fraction of its original size for around the same time. At the other end of the Bridge of Hesitation, Franky takes on Funkfreed, Spandam's sword infused with the powers of a devil fruit, which allow it to partly or completely turn into an elephant. At the islands entry, the two giants arrive, carrying the Galley-La foremen and the Franky Family on their shoulders. Instead of finding a means of escape, however, they are greeted by the cannon muzzles of three of the Buster Call's battleships. Equally desperate is the situation in the underground passage, where the group has been caught in the flooding-in water. Just as they are about to give up hope, a mermaid comes to their rescue.
L'attaque gigantesque de Luffy contre Lucci produit un effet dévastateur sur son corps, Robin entre dans la bataille, et les chapeaux de paille restants se démènent pour survivre sous l'eau.
Kokoro, svelando di essere una sirena, salva tutti quanti dal tunnel sotto il ponte dell'esitazione, allagato da Lucci. Franky cerca di far rinsavire Robin, sotto shock per i brutti ricordi rievocati dal Buster Call. Oimo e Karsee, la Franky Family e la Galley-La cercano di fuggire ma incontrano tre navi della Marina.
Sobre el Puente de la Vacilación continúa la lucha de Franky y Robin contra La Marina, mientras que el resto de la banda sigue corriendo por el túnel para llegar allí sin saber que éste se está inundando. La Buster Call continúa destrozando Enies Lobby y tanto la familia Franky como los carpinteros de la Galley-La están en apuros en la ciudad.
