The origins of son jarocho date back to the colonial era, and its sounds are characterized by a traditional harmonic rhythm of the Sotavento region, which includes some areas of Oaxaca, Tabasco and Veracruz. Tonight we present a sample of sones played by the groups of Caña Dulce Caña Brava, and Los Vega, who sing "Chiles verdes", "La petenera", "El pájaro Cu", "El cascabel", among other melodies.
