Im Rahmen einer Prüfung erhält Alex von Amanda die Aufgabe, den Terroristen Bashir Maro zu verhören und wenn nötig mit Elektroschocks zu foltern. Bei dem Verhör bringt Alex es aber nicht übers Herz, das Folterwerkzeugt zu verwenden. Als der Gefangene sich befreit und handgreiflich wird, ist diese Prüfung für Alex endgültig in die Hose gegangen. Wenig später soll ein Training auf einem externen Gelände stattfinden. Auf der Busfahrt dorthin werden die Rekruten von Terroristen überfallen. Alex und Thom werden bewusstlos geschlagen und als Geiseln genommen. A bus filled with Division recruits is attacked by terrorists who kidnap Alex and Thom, both of whom are unaware that this is a test by Division. Percy, Michael and Amanda watch as Alex is tortured.
