After an extensive nationwide search 33 girls from all over the country were invited to Queenstown to appear in the premiere episode of New Zealand’s Next Top Model. The novice models were expected to strut their stuff in front of a very special guest, put their best foot forward in a gruelling audition, and take part in a physically challenging photo shoot. It didn’t take long for the drama to unfold, with one girl suffering a health crisis, while another found herself the centre of attention – for all the wrong reasons. And after all that, only 13 were invited to move into the Top Model house in Auckland, in the hope of becoming New Zealand’s Next Top Model.
