会計士の吉村薫は勤めていた会社を解雇され、必死に新しい仕事を探していたが、ボクシングジムのパラダイスジムに就職する。一連の出来事を通して、彼女は高給取りの仕事を辞めて成功を目指す老ボクサー、沢田良平のトレーナーになる。彼女はスポーツを嫌っていたが、この無礼で不愉快な男に惹かれ、二人は互いの居場所を見つけるために一緒に旅をする。
