All Seasons

Season 1

  • S01E01 Superhumans

    • January 16, 2007

Dr Lawrence Blair kicks off this new four-part series by turning the camera on the human race. Superhumans takes us on a quest of our own species, for what humans might be, and culminated with startling visions of shamans, magicians and trance healers with seemingly supernatural powers. This film is a journey into the extremes of the human mind, and suggests the range of our potential may be greater than we can yet imagine.

  • S01E02 Snakes

    • January 23, 2007

Dr Lawrence Blair investigates the fascinating snakes that dominate Indonesian culture and traces the ancient Naga Cults, which precede even the influence of Hinduism. He takes a look for some of the more interesting species of actual and symbolic snakes unique to the nation, and the islanders’ special relationship with them as he continues his journey to discover bizarre creatures around the world.

  • S01E03 Beasts

    • January 30, 2007

Dr Lawrence Blair takes an amusing look at the amazing relationships that Indonesians have with their 'domesticated' animals. He sees party-crashing canines, civet cats, miniature buffalo and elephants that can walk like felines along the tops of walls.

  • S01E04 Seas

    • February 6, 2007

Dr Lawrence Blair examines a host of rare beings that inhabit the largely unexplored waters between Borneo and New Guinea including Moby Dick, Mermaids, and Vampires.
