Nach langen Jahren wird Michael von Tommy, einem alten Freund aus Jugendzeiten, besucht. Michael ist unsicher und kann nicht mit dem Umstand umgehen, dass Tommy jetzt im Rollstuhl sitzt. Als Tommy seinen Freund auffordert, so wie früher in einem Basketball-Match gegeneinander anzutreten, ist Michael damit völlig überfordert. Derweil sind Kady und Claire in einem Einkaufszentrum unterwegs - und Claire wird des Ladendiebstahls beschuldigt ...
Michael's old friend Tommy is coming over and Michael is very excited because he and Tommy used to compete for everything. But his excitement soon turns into awkwardness when Tommy shows in on a wheelchair and Michael doesn't know how to act with the situation. Tommy decides to take advantage of that until they have a talk in which Tommy asks Michael to treat him like he used to, because despite the wheelchair he's the same guy that used to race Michael for anything. Meanwhile, Claire is caught shoplifting and gets grounded for it. When she confronts Kady about who put the nail polishers on her purse she feels so guilty she confesses to their parents that Claire didn't do it. The punishment? She will no longer be treated like a baby.
Michael se fait une joie de revoir son vieil ami, Tommy, avec qui il n'a cessé de se mesurer pendant l'enfance. Ce dernier arrive enfin... dans un fauteuil roulant...
Michael scopre che il suo amico d'infanzia Tommy è su una sedia a rotelle. E resta impietrito quando Tommy insiste per giocare a basket, proprio come ai vecchi tempi.
Quando Michael reencontra seu amigo, recebe uma baita surpresa ao vê-lo em uma cadeira de rodas. Ele fica preocupado, pois já que Thommy está deficiente, eles não poderão se divertir jogando basquete. Enquanto isso, Claire é acusada de roubo no shopping quando passeava com Kady, e depois que ela fica zangada, ela decide admitir o que aconteceu à Michael e Jay, que deixam Claire decidir o castigo de Kady.
