APRIL 8th, 1:18am @ Sunrise, Maine. An eerie and frightening film plays before our eyes. It is the murder of Nate Flint and his daughter Abby Flint, captured by the Killer on film as the horrific act is executed. APRIL 8th, 11:02am @ 10 Hours later. The town of Sunrise is celebrating Founder's Day, its 300th anniversary. Citizens crowd the sidewalks as a parade marches down Water Street. Mayor Emerson Bowden proudly speaks to the town, kicking off the celebration. Many of the town's prominent citizens take part in the parade. Rev. Rusty Crandall sits atop a fire truck in his position as a volunteer fireman. Developer William Lambert walks with a children's group. G.D. Thibodeaux and Prudence Connor march in full military dress. X-Ray drives his cab and waves to on-lookers. Reporter Frank Kovick takes photos for the newspaper. Meanwhile, just up the street, Samantha, the local diner owner, walks the elderly C.R. Flint up the stairs of his house after a night in Bangor. Upon reaching
OPENING SCENE The Killer strikes again. On the evening (of Investigative Day 9) Leita Rose-Blodgett is up home alone in her house. We see this through the eerie green glow of the Killer's camera. We see the familiar white flash and hear the telltale gunshot. Later, Chief Duncan arrives at HQ with some horrific news. There's been another apparent murder… Leita Rose-Blodgett. Duncan has blood on his hands and is clearly shaken. As with the Flint crime scene, he reports there was a lot of blood, but no body. OPENING TITLES INVESTIGATIVE DAY 10 The investigators bring us up to date on their own personal leading suspects. Kristen still feels that the Mayor is the Killer. Angel doesn't think Jimmy Tinker had much to do with it, but points out that everyone in town has skeletons in the closet. Right now, Angel likes Lambert as the murderer because of the money connection. Money, he points out, ""is the root of all evil."" Alan hopes that Thibodeaux gets killed because he is beginning to make Al
OPENING SCENE Jeff and Alan watch the video replay of Lambert shutting Kristen up at $2 Bill's. Jeff laughs loudly, aware that Kristen is standing just s few feet away. Kristen asks, ""How old are they, three? Four maybe?"" Alan says they're just having a little fun. But Kristen doesn't laugh at this and asks why Alan lets Jeff annoy her like that? Angel now walks up the stairs and tells Kristen she has to stop letting Jeff get to her. Kristen cups Angel's face in her hands and says, ""That's me, I can't help it. It's better than hitting him."" Angel later reflects he is genuinely feeling badly for Kristen and the way she is being treated OPENING TITLES INVESTIGATIVE DAY 13 HQ. Morning Briefing. There are now only six investigators left. Therefore, Gary assigns only two tracks of investigation. Kristen recounts her Killer clue track from the previous night. Gary assigns Track One to investigate the Grady Point Lighthouse and the ""Lost at Sea"" monument further. They
OPENING SCENE The telltale green glow of the Killer's camera moves through the dark corridor of Dr. Bowden's office. The Killer's camera takes us into the examination room where G.D. Thibodeaux is sleeping on the table. As the Killer's camera moves in close to Thibodeaux, the end of a bangstick comes into view and points at Thibodeaux's head. Suddenly, Thibodeaux wakes up and sees the Killer. He starts to move but it is too late. Flash. Bang. The phone rings at Headquarters. Kristen answers to find Dr. Neva Bowden on the other end. Her voice already indicates this is not going to be good news. ""I think Thibodeaux's been killed"" she says. ""He was fine when I left the office last night. I came in this morning and he's gone. There's blood everywhere. I need someone to come over right away."" The investigators jump into action, quickly gathering their investigative kits and heading out the door. Angel and Kristen are greeted by Dr. Bowden at the front door of her office and she takes them b
OPENING SCENE Prudence Connor pulls up at her garage in a flat bed truck carrying General Hayden DeBeck's crushed limo. Climbing out of the truck, she reaches into the cab and pulls out a crow bar. With great intent, she begins pounding on the limo's door and smashing out the windows. At Headquarters, during the morning briefing, Lead Investigator Gary Fredo crosses DeBeck off the suspect board stating that enough blood and brain matter was found to assume his death. Jeff comments that very few sweepers are around, possibly because they have no one to follow, except maybe Rev. Rusty Crandall. Gary adds that the Reverend, who was allegedly driving the limo, is nowhere to be found. INVESTIGATIVE DAY 19 Morning Briefing continues. Because there are only four investigators left, the Lifeguard will now go out on all investigative tracks, though they will continue to be exempt from playing the Killer's game. In her ""Last Will & Testament,"" Kristen names Angel the Lifeguard stating he is trus
INVESTIGATIVE DAY 22 The old Kingfisher Sardine Factory sits out on a point of land on the south end of Sunrise. Currently it is a hotbed of activity as fire trucks, ambulances and a portion of the town have turned out to see the Investigators and an explosives team blow open the door of the mysterious vault discovered by Jeff the previous night while playing the Killer's game. While preparations are being made, a pair of interested eyes watches from across the inlet with a concerned look. William Lambert stands in front of his house taking in the sight. Not far away, just down the road a camera clicks away, taking photographs of the events. Frank Kovick sits on a rock outside his boathouse, camera in hand, documenting all he sees. Across the inlet, Jeff comments that it's strange that Kovick isn't around, as he always seems to turn up at events like this. An explosive expert hands Alan a small yellow detonator device and carefully explains the procedure for setting off the blast. Alan
