First transmitted in 1985, this programme follows a group of 20 nurses from the NHS who join Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps. They have to undergo battle training ranging from learning how to function wearing gas masks to treating and evacuating the wounded from a realistically simulated battle scene.
