Der Direktor der Ostberliner Zentralbank, Alfred Belzig, macht sich auf hinterhältige Weise an das Geld von Republikflüchtlingen heran: Er gibt vor, ihnen bei der Flucht in den Westen zu helfen, erleichtert sie jedoch nur um ihr Vermögen, um sie anschließend über ein Tunnelsystem in den sicheren Tod zu schicken. Gemeinsam mit seinem Sicherheitschef Kutler will er Geld anhäufen, um später eine rechte Partei zu gründen und einen Staatsstreich zu wagen... Ein Fall für Jim Phelps!
Alfred Belzig, a bank director in the "East Zone", takes money from those trying to escape to the West, then disposes of them and keeps the money. Belzig plans to use the $3 million he's accumulated to support a new Nazi party. Rollin pretends to be an escapee - Belzig takes his money and kills him, allowing the team to track the money to a safe deposit box. Barney and guest team member Paul Lebarre (a former bank robber) stage a raid on Belzig's bank and steal only his deposit box. Willy, pretending to be a police man, "arrests" them and they depart just as the real police arrive. They wonder why the single box was targeted, Belzig tries to escape before he can be incriminated and fails.
Alfred Belzig, le sinistre directeur de la Banque du Peuple à Berlin Est, exerce une activité des plus lucratives : il persuade des petits épargnants désireux de se rendre à l'Ouest de lui confier leur argent, les fait disparaître et garde leurs économies. Son plan : financer un nouveau parti nazi avec les trois millions de dollars qu'il a accumulés au fil des années. Rollin décide de se faire passer pour un Allemand de l'Est et remet de l'argent à Belzig qui le dépose dans un coffre-fort. De son côté, Barney, accompagné de Paul Lebarre, un ancien malfrat spécialisé dans les cambriolages, prépare l'assaut de la banque de Belzig...
