Kardinal Vossek ist der Kopf einer Freiheitsbewegung in einem osteuropäischen Land, wo man ihn in ein scheinbar uneinnehmbares Gefängnis gesteckt hat. Doch die Regimeführer haben nicht mit dem Kobra-Team gerechnet, das sich, als Zirkustruppe getarnt, in der Nähe des berüchtigten Gefängnisses niederlässt. Jeder aus der Mannschaft übernimmt eine auf ihn zugeschnittene Rolle. Schon bald kann Rollin sich Zutritt zum Gefängnis verschaffen...

The IMF team goes in as a circus team to rescue Anton Cardinal Vossek, who is being held in the impregnable Seravno Prison. Vossek is the leader of the country's freedom movement, in rebellion against Colonel Scutari, and is awaiting a fake trial before execution. With the aid of circus acrobat Crystal Walker, the team must get Vossek out. To do so, Rollin fakes being a pickpocket so as to be arrested. Once inside Servano, he has to sneak through the prison and get Vossek out of his cell as a test run for the next day...only for the guards to interrupt at an inopportune moment.

Les membres de l'IMF se font passer pour des baladins afin de détourner l'attention de leur plan de sauvetage concernant un cardinal luttant pour la liberté, enfermé dans une prison d'Europe de l'Est.
