Hosted by John Forsythe, Emma Samms and Karen Baldwin and held in Cancún, Mexico - This is the 38th Miss Universe pageant. There are 76 contestants this year, but only one will be the winner. The judges have voted and Angela Visser from Holland is crowned Miss Universe 1989.
