Vietnam: Breaking the Vietcong's Back with Technology?

One key problem the United States faced in the Vietnam war was that the enemy was focused mostly on irregular warfare, whereas the US forces were mainly trained to fight in regular war. Although, the Vietnamese were supported by the Soviet Union and Communist China with weapons and sometimes high-tech equipment in general, they were using a “low-tech approach”. This was in stark contrast to the United States that often brought high-technology to the battlefield. And in this video, we will talk about such an approach, namely the use of a high-tech sensor network to interrupt the North Vietnamese supply route into South Vietnam, better known as the Ho Chi Minh Trail. »» SUPPORT MHV «« » paypal donation - https://paypal.me/mhvis » patreon - https://www.patreon.com/mhv » subscribe star - https://www.subscribestar.com/mhv » Book Wishlist https://www.amazon.de/gp/registry/wishlist/3LJIXNJIUXJES/ref=cm_wl_huc_view?language=en_GB »» MERCHANDISE «« » teespring - https://teespring.com/stores/military-history-visualized » SOURCES « Deitchman, Seymour J.: The “Electronic Battlefield” in the Vietnam War.
