Mighty Trains rolls through Norway along the Bergen Line – described as one of the most amazing railway journeys in Europe. The Bergensbanen stretches nearly 500km from Oslo to Bergen, passing through an astonishing 182 tunnels, and some of the most scenic vistas in the world. Along the way, we take a side trip on the Flam Railway, which boasts one of the steepest railway climbs on Earth. Once we arrive in Bergen, we travel north for a ride on the famous Nordland Line, which stretches from Trondheim to Bodø - an Arctic railway that is an important part of Norway's infrastructure, transporting passengers and freight across the North.
La construction de la ligne de Bergen n'a pas été une tâche facile. Onze itinéraires différents ont été étudiés avant de choisir la voie actuelle. Cependant, les conditions difficiles, autant météorologique que géographique, font de cette ligne ferroviaire une véritable merveille d'ingénierie. Pendant ce voyage nous rencontrons le personnel du train, des conducteurs aux ingénieurs, qui s'assurent que le train est prêt à rouler et également les équipes sur les voies qui veillent à la sécurité de la voie ferrée.

Auf ihrem Weg fährt die Bergenbahn durch einen Nationalpark, entlang an Gletschern und Fjorden und durch insgesamt 182 Tunnel. Auch die Nordlandbahn von Trondheim nach Bodø ist ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Die 729 Kilometer lange Strecke durch wilde Natur passiert den nördlichen Polarkreis. Am Ziel wartet eine der schönsten Küsten der Welt.
