Elleve tidligere toppidrettsutøvere er samlet og bor og lever sammen, samtidig som de konkurrerer mot hverandre om tittelen "Mesternes mester". I hvert program må de gjennom utfordrende konkurranser som setter alle deres egenskaper på prøve. Den som havner sist må ut i den fryktede natt-testen - en vinn-eller-forsvinn-konkurranse som avgjør om deltakeren får være med videre eller må reise hjem.
