Opal, a transgender woman with a disjointed memory finds herself at a school for superhumans, the Borkoshavski Academy, after a hunt for an elusive cryptid known as 'The Swamp God,' goes awry. When Opal meets Icarus, the somewhat overly affectionate son of two famed superheroes, the two develop a bond with one another, and discover that they are part of a much grander narrative, that takes place over the course of several years.
