Von der vor ihren Fans fliehenden Momo zurückgelassen, beendet Hibiya seine Einkaustour. Er ist zum ersten Mal in der Großstadt und verbringt den Sommer mit seiner Freundin Hiyori. Wird er in der Lage sein, ihr seine Gefühle zu gestehen oder wird ihn die Hitze übermannen?
After getting caught up in the chase with Momo, the young boy, Hibiya Amamiya, spends time with his friend, Hiyori Asahina, who he has a crush on. However, his plans to spend the summer with Hiyori is hindered by both her cold attitude towards him and her smitten behaviour towards the strange resident, Konoha. The following day, on August 15, Hibiya finds himself in what appears to be a dream in which Hiyori is hit by a truck whilst chasing after a cat, whispering something before she is hit. As this dream seems to loop, Hibiya attempts to keep Hiyori from danger, but she is always killed in some manner upon encountering a black cat. In the end, Hibiya decides to take Hiyori's place as the victim by throwing himself in front of the oncoming truck, mocking the cat before he is hit.
如月モモとの騒動の後、買い物を済ませたヒビヤ。買ったのは好意を寄せるヒヨリへのプレゼント。意気揚々とプレゼントを渡したヒビヤだが、「いらない」と、一蹴されてしまう。
しかも二人で過ごせると思って、田舎から都会にいるヒヨリの叔父の楯山家に来たものの、そこにはコノハと名乗る見知らぬ青年がいた。
Hibiya est interloqué par sa rencontre avec Momo, qu'il finit par reconnaître après un de ses passages à la télé. Il passe ses vacances d'été aux côtés de Hiyori, une amie pour laquelle il a le béguin, mais qui ne lui rend pas vraiment la pareille. Hibiya cherche à parler avec elle de ses rêves étranges où il tente désespérément de la sauver.
Lasciato indietro da Momo mentre scappavano dai suoi fan, Hibiya torna a casa. Sta passando le vacanze estive con la sua amica Hiyori ed è la prima volta che si trova in una grande città. Riuscirà a confessarle i suoi sentimenti, o verrà sopraffatto dalla foschia estiva?
