Souma Akira is a glasses-wearing high school student at the rural Himalaya Third Technical School. He loves glasses more than anyone and is proud to wear his own. Along with Hachimine Takuma, Minabe Yukiya, Kamatani Mitsuki, and Kimata Hayato - four other boys with glasses who have joined (or, perhaps, were forced to join) the club born of Akira's greatest ambition - the members of "The Glasses Club" share sweat, laughter, tears, and the occasional explosion(!) as they pour their undying passion into their eye-wear.
Meganebu présente le quotidien d’un club de lunettes, dont les membres en portent tous. Le président du club, Souma Akira, est connu pour être un réel passionné. Kamatani Mitsuki apprécie beaucoup son senpai ainsi que ses propres lunettes. Hachimine Takuma est lui un lycéen à la personnalité douce et raffole des friandises. Minabe Yukiya possède un côté timide et enfin Kimata Hayato est un garçon très affectueux.
Pour eux, les lunettes représentent tout à l’adolescence, et ils l’expriment au quotidien.
ヒマラヤ第三工業高校には「メガネ部」という部が存在する。部員全員が眼鏡を掛け、そこでは女性の裸を透視するために「非生命体透視メガネ（通称スケスケメガネ）」の開発が行われている。本作では不慮の爆発により部室もなくなってしまったそんな部員たちの日常が描かれる。
Für Akira Souma ist seine Brille nicht nur eine Sehhilfe oder gar eine Art Accessoire, sondern regelrecht eine Lebenseinstellung. Um die Erfindung zu ehren, hat er deshalb sogar einen Brillenclub - den Meganebu - an seiner Schule gegründet, der das große Ziel verfolgt eine Röntgenbrille zu entwickeln und so allen anderen zu zeigen, wie großartig es doch ist, Brillenträger zu sein.
