Mayday is a sophisticated five-part thriller from writers Ben Court and Caroline Ip (Whitechapel). When a young girl goes missing on her way to the Mayday parade, the small community in which she lives looks to one another for answers.
But beneath the picture-postcard idyll lies a sinister other world and the dark woods teem with myth.
As the community reels from Hattie’s disappearance, the drama follows the mass hysteria and ensuing search from the point of view of the central characters, each of whom fears that someone they know is responsible. As they keep silent, their suspicions intensify over the course of the five episodes.

La serie se centra en la desaparicion de una joven que se pierde camino a un pueblo en medio del bosque Mayday. Los habitantes se dejan llevar por el misticismo del May Day, un festival anual que festeja rituales paganos. La joven de 14 años, Hattie Sutton, es la reina del desfile. Una corona de flores y lazos de seda coronan su rubio cabello mientras pedalea para llegar a su puesto en la carroza del desfile, pero nunca llega.
La desaparicion de Hattie afectara a toda la comunidad y su historia se cuenta a traves de cinco personajes: Linus, Fiona, Steve, Gail y Good. Se trata de un pueblo que se enfrenta a un supuesto crimen que ha sido realizado por alguien conocido: el asesino esta entre ellos.
