The next series from BEAT DOWN BOOGIE! We begin filming after DRAGON*CON 2011! We're currently in pre-production - raising the budget, getting the props and costumes, etc.
We're gearing up for Mario Warfare, and we'll be dropping sneak peeks so you can get a taste of our film-making process. In this sneak peek we check out the costume design and guns of Mario Warfare.
We head to the Octagon Gym in Greensboro with fight coordinator Matthew Sumner and stunt coordinator Brian Lee to start working on fight scenes.
The Mario/Waluigi fight is a rough cut and work in progress. WaLuigi is played by cult favorite stunt-person Eric Jacobus from The Stunt People.
New episode is COMING SOON! Want to see how our small crew makes BDB films? Thanks to Mike Leonard for shooting and editing a behind the scenes video. You can see how compact our crew is!
Episode 3 is coming (pretty) soon. In the meantime we'll be giving you behind-the-scenes videos and outtakes!
How would Donkey Kong walk and move? These questions needed answers before we filmed Mario Warfare Ep 3. So we visited Parkour teacher Stephen Carr to get some movement inspiration.
Even though Alena Koch played Peach in most shots during this fight, in order to accomplish all the moves, both characters had 3 different stunt doubles: Matt Sumner for picking people up, Stephen Carr for flipping and spinning around, and Brian Lee for jumping on people and taking falls.
It's finally out! And thanks to our Kickstarter supporters, more episodes are on the way!
Episode 3 is out now, and we're working on Ep 4! The other big news is that Micah is parting with his full-time day job, and returning to freelance video work. This will allow us to spend a lot more time on Mario Warfare! Micah's new creative life begins in July!
Toad. Played by Brian Lee. Inspired by Kurt Wimmer's 'Equilibrium.' We decided to put up some of Mario Warfare's best fight clips for quick enjoyment.

This was our original idea for Mario Warfare. It didn't work out. But now you can watch a rough cut!
This is a rough cut of our first Mario parody idea. We decided we could make a better version, but this has some funny moments, so we're sharing it. These 2 Episodes are the only ones we have from this old version. We decided we wanted to go with a more streamlined action-oriented story. Big thanks to Nick Karner for being our copper in this scene!
This is a little glimpse into making a scene for Mario Warfare. There's also writing, storyboarding, making costumes and props, and scheduling rehearsals and film shoots.

A huge thanks to everyone who supported Mario Warfare. One of our Kickstarter rewards was a shoutout on YouTube, and we also wanted to tease the shirt and DVD rewards that are being shipped out.
