The Long Goodbye

After a successful audition before Alex's uncle the producer, Jason gets the go-ahead to make a demo recording. He's surprised to see that the producer sent to work with him is a woman--a young, attractive one. Jason works with Kendall and there seems to be a spark between them. Stads (unseen in this episode) calls from Europe; Jason tells her about the demo but not that the producer is female. After a good session, Jason and Kendall seem to be moving toward romance, but Jason cuts the evening short so he won't cheat on Stads. Later Kendall gives Jason the news that he's got a record contract. Overjoyed, he embraces her, then they kiss. Returning to his home with Kendall, Jason says he needs to talk, but is temporarily interrupted by a surprise party. Later he tells Kendall that he thinks they should keep their relationship professional. Stads calls from Italy.
