  • S01E01 Episode 1

    The first episode follows the story of Anna, who had her nose removed due to a cancerous tumour and is now having a prosthetic nose fitted. We also meet Frank, who is a young burns victim receiving treatment by the hospital team to reduce the scarring after his accident. The team also discuss their work and the skills they have, as they treat a young victim of a violent assault and renew a prosthetic ear for patient Ron.

  • S01E02 Episode 2

    This week we meet Diana, who has waited a long time to have a prosthetic to cover one side of her face. Will she be able to accept it, having become accustomed to wearing a patch for years? Holly is a young patient who has grown out of her prosthetic eye and is looking forward to getting a new one. Following cancer treatment, Andrew's jaw is being rebuilt with bone from his leg, cut to a template made by the prosthetic department. We also meet Thomas, who lost his ear after being assaulted. The programme follows the process as he is fitted with a prosthetic replacement.

    In this week's episode, Peter is dealing with the loss of his nose to cancer. He hopes a prosthetic nose will allow him to get back to his old way of life. Elsewhere, we see the skill of the Maxillofacial department as they make a template for a new jaw for Johnny, which will be made using bone taken from his arm. Also this week, Rebecca has lived with eye problems all her life and hides behind her hair, but she hopes an operation to insert a plate in her eye socket will help rebuild her confidence.

  • S01E04 Episode 4

    The team meet Larissa, who was born without ears due to a condition called Treacher Collins syndrome. The screw holding her prosthetic ear in place has fallen out and she needs an operation to replace it. We also follow the story of Sue, a cancer patient whose ear has been removed and who is hoping to get a prosthetic replacement.
