後悔と自暴自棄な気持ちを抱えて人生の終わりの地を求めてさまよっている及川紫紋（藤原季節）。彼がたどり着いたのは “尽果”という地の崖っぷちにたたずむ小さな食堂「まぐだら屋」。そこで、マリアと呼ばれる、謎に満ちた店主・有馬りあ（尾野真千子）に出された温かい定食を平らげた紫紋は、あまりの美味しさに、気づくとご飯をおかわりしていた…。その後、紫紋は、しばらくこの食堂で勤めることになる。マリアをはじめ、店のオーナーである女将おかみ・怜子（岩下志麻）や、漁師の克夫（田中隆三）、自分と同じように死に場所を求めてきた若者・丸弧（坂東龍汰）らと出会う中で、生きる勇気を取り戻していく紫紋。そんなある日、突然マリアが “尽果” から消える… 。笑顔で「まぐだら屋」を切り盛りする彼女には、大きな秘密があったのだ。
