Um eine Party in Robin Masters englischem Anwesen zu organisieren, reisen Magnum und Higgins nach London. Der Privatdetektiv will die Zeit nutzen, um seinen alten Freund, Geoffrey St. Clair, zu besuchen. Zu seinem Entsetzen erfährt er jedoch von dessen Frau Penelope, das Geoffrey kurz zuvor bei einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommen ist. Ein schwarzer Jaguar habe ihn angefahren und tödlich verletzt. Seltsamerweise hat Magnum während des Fluges gerade von einem solchen Auto geträumt. Und diese angebliche Vision war nicht die einzige. Schon bald muss er feststellen, dass diese plötzlichen Eingebungen immer wieder auftauchen. Verwirrt geht Magnum der Sache nach.

Magnum and Higgins travel to London, England to oversee the establishment of Robin Master's new castle, Robin's Keep, in time for a large banquet. While Higgins is busy training Ian MacKerras for the running of the castle, Thomas takes the opportunity to visit Geoffrey St. Clare, an old friend from Vietnam, but upon arrival, Geoffrey's wife Penelope informs him that Geoffrey has been killed, after being run down in a hit-and-run incident with a black Jaguar. But there is mystery surrounding the death - Geoffrey was supposed to be in France, and the circumstances suggest that, far from being an accident, the death was deliberate murder.The events of Geoffrey's killing seem to be echoing a disturbing, bizarre dream that Magnum had on the journey to England...

Magnum et Higgins s'envolent pour Londres. Quelques minutes avant l'atterrissage, Magnum sort d'un profond sommeil, effrayé et intrigué par la clarté de son rêve. Dès leur arrivée, Magnum part à la recherche de son vieil ami, Geoffroy St. Clair. Mais il apprend que celui-ci est mort suite à un accident de voiture. Pénélope, sa femme, révèle à Magnum que la voiture était une Jaguar noire...

Magnum e Higgins si recano a Londra, per preparare il Castello di Robin Masters in tempo per un sontuoso banchetto. Mentre Higgins è impegnato ad addestrare Ian Mackerras su come dirigere il maniero, Thomas ne approfitta per far visita a un vecchio amico, Geoffrey St. Clare. Purtroppo sua moglie Penelope lo informa che Geoffrey è rimasto ucciso dopo essere stato investito da una Jaguar nera. Ma alcuni dettagli non sono chiari e Thomas scopre che la morte del suo amico non si è trattata di un incidente
