Magilla accidentally starts a scooter and rides it around town, with Mr. Peebles chasing after him. They then get saved by a helicopter pilot after riding over a waterfall and Magilla then decides to take another joyride, only this time in the helicopter.
After making a mess in the store on his unicycle, Mr. Peebles decides to donate Magilla to the local zoo so people could admire him from a distance.
Mr. Peebles gets a new Love Bird but the bird flies away and Magilla must catch him before he gets in trouble.
Thinking that Mr. Peebles doesn’t love him anymore, Magilla decides to runaway to the circus, where he hopes to make a lot of money as the main attraction.
A strange pet bird, a "South American Geek", comes to the pet shop. Unfortunately, Magilla is not aware that the bird has the unexplained ability to escape from any situation, and this causes Magilla to frantically try to capture the bird.
When Magilla finds out that Mr. Peebles needs a lot of money to pay his bills, he decides to become a cowboy and enter a local rodeo event to win the first prize money. Under the nickname of "Montana Magilla".
Magilla comes to the assistance of an automobile enthusiast when a sports car breaks down outside the pet shop. However, Magilla accidentally drives away with the car and since he cannot drive, he becomes a nuisance on the streets.
In trying to promote a new flying car, some advertisers from "Madison Avenue" create the slogan "a car so simple even a gorilla can drive it". After they accidentally meet Magilla they buy him and try to use him in the advertising campaign.
After Mr. Peebles gets mad at Magilla he runs away from home and joins the French Foreign Legion. After doing his duty they send him back to the pet shop on a camel shaped balloon.

Ogee visits Peebles' pet shop to take Magilla to her school pet contest. A dog called Horatio is all who stands between Magilla and the trophy prize.
Magilla goes on a long surfing stunt at the beach and as a result becomes the Surfer King.
While out shopping, Magilla rides on a kiddie airplane, but it accidentally sends him into the sky and he flies past a movie studio, an airport, and through a mall.
Peebles sends Magilla to take his sick goldfish to the Oceanland doctor. During the check up, Magilla gets tangled in the aquarium where one of the antics involves him getting attacked by a shark.
During an errand for Peebles, Magilla is mistaken for a secret agent in a secret hideout and is tailed by a villain on a secret delivery service.
