In the movie Thanh Xa and Bach Xa 2001 , Thanh Xa (Pham Van Phuong) and Bach Xa (Truong Ngoc Yen) are two serpents living in the deep forest. One day, Bach Xa accidentally met and saved a young man who specializes in picking medicine named Hua Tien (Ly Minh Thuan), helped him escape from the accident and then she fell in love with Hua Tien. Not long after, an epidemic swept over the village where the two lived. Bach Xa used up her magic and energy to make medicine to save people. At this time, a noble magician who specialized in exorcising evil spirits named Phap Hai (Tieu An Tuan), after seeing Hua Tien's village in distress, helped out.
