MacGyver má na starosti čtyři teenagery z mladistvého nápravného programu. Z počátku se to zdá jako jednoduchý úkol ale po několika hodinách strávených s těmito dětmi Mac zjišťuje, že to rozhodně tak snadné nebude. Všichni čtyři jsou totiž velice problémoví a vzpurní...

Ein Bewährungshelfer soll mit einer Gruppe junger Krimineller ein Überlebenstraining absolvieren, untersützt von MacGyver. Doch der Sozialarbeiter verliert die Nerven und macht sich aus dem Staub. Allein mit den Jungs startet MacGyver einen Rundflug. Kaum in der Luft stirbt der Pilot und MacGyver ist komplett auf sich gestellt.
MacGyver goes to the mountains to lead four ex-gangster teens on a Phoenix Foundation funded rehabilitation trip. When he gets there, he finds that this task may be a little more complicated then he thought. All of the kids are very rebellious and one of them has a bad grudge against another one. A couple of days later when MacGyver is returning with the kids, their plane crashes in the middle of the wilderness and one of them is injured. Now, MacGyver must fix the plane and help the kids work out their differences so they can save their friend.

Ma quando arriva lì si rende conto che questo compito è più complicato di quanto pensasse: i ragazzini sono estremamente turbolenti e uno di loro prova un forte rancore verso un membro del gruppo.
Dopo un paio di giorni, durante il viaggio di ritorno, l'aereo con cui stanno tornando, si schianta nel bel mezzo della foresta e uno dei ragazzi è ferito.
MacGyver dovrà riparare l'aereo e aiutare i ragazzi a sorvolare le loro divergenze e collaborare per salvare il loro amico.
