This is for general orientation and I recommend doing more research if you plan to do this. Part 1: Unlocking -Enable developer options by going to about phone a pressing the build number over and over until you get the dialog. -Go to system, developer options and enable OEM unlock. -Install ADB/Fastboot tools on your PC. -Restart phone on Fastboot by booting while pressing the volume down button. Connect Phone to PC. -On a command line with ADB and Fastboot installed do fastboot oem unlock-go (This will likely wipe the phone) Part 2: Rooting (You do this at your own risk. Again, this is not the point of this video and only for general orientation) -Search online for the exact firmware .zip currently installed in your phone. Extract it and look for the boot.img. Move that to your phone. -On phone install Magisk Manager. Select Install, Path Booth Image File and select boot.img. A patched image is saved to "Downloads". Move that patched image to your PC. -Reboot Phone into Fastboot. From a command line boot the phone from the patched image using "fastboot boot patched_boot.img". -If phone boots, open Magisk, Install, Direct Install.
