女強人明亮與同事高見是工作上的死對頭，但兩人都牴觸婚姻，希望只談沒有責任的戀愛，因此，兩人一拍即合，成為秘密情侶。他們在相處中互相吸引，卻又害怕關係更近一步，導致摩擦不斷。嬌嬌女包唸唸被獸醫方思齊所吸引，主動追求卻不小心懷孕，被雙方父母逼婚。領證當日唸唸不慎流產，沒有了這個結婚的理由，她與思齊的關係更加脆弱，但思齊卻想出了一個“新婚姻關係”來挽留唸唸。於小諾的男友承磊雖有歌唱才華卻窮困潦倒，她不甘心就這麼嫁給他，然而就在小諾積極尋找高富帥的時候，承磊竟然意外成名。小諾發現，自己與承磊越走越遠。三對情侶經歷重重矛盾與分分合合，終於都明白了婚姻的真正含義，“高明”與“思念”決定接受婚姻的挑戰，而小諾則決定先讓自己成為有資格結婚的女人。
