Dr. Cal Lightman’s teenage daughter. Her mother is Cal’s ex-wife Zoe Landau, with whom she lives most of the time. Emily and Cal have a close relationship, though she is sometimes annoyed with Cal’s overprotective tendencies. For the most part Cal restrains from “reading” Emily, as she becomes upset when he does. On the other hand, Emily shows some talent for this skill as well and she occasionally calls out her father for hiding something from her or not telling the truth.
