多才多藝的戲班台柱子--雲豔，因容貌醜陋，難得心中所愛，且經常遭受冷言相對，但云豔只有忍氣吞聲，委曲求全。戲班在一次劫難中，全部成員死於劫殺，雲豔更是遭盡凌辱，悲憤而死，化為厲鬼。從此，雲豔經常披上美麗的人皮，化為絕色美女，向天下好色之徒復仇，以報生前因醜陋而被冷落之怨。 當王生遭遇厲鬼化身的雲豔之後，便被勾引得神魂顛倒，竟拋妻棄子，整日沉迷色慾之中，最後落得被挖心的下場。道士在王妻的感動下，挺身除鬼，終得回王心令其復生……
