The Prince and the Poor (1/2)

Adapted in two parts by Marcel Cravenne, from the eponymous novel Mark Twain published in 1882. The action is located in London in the sixteenth century, at the time of the terrible King Henry VIII. Edward, Prince of Wales and son of the king, one day welcomes to the palace a boy of his age, Tom Canty. The two young people, whose resemblance is amazing, have fun exchanging their clothes. This game entails them on their own in adventures not always desired.

Adaptation en deux parties réalisées par Marcel Cravenne, du roman éponyme de Mark Twain paru en 1882. L'action se situe à Londres au XVIe siècle, à l'époque du terrible roi Henry VIII. Edouard, Prince de Galles et fils du roi, accueille un jour au palais un garçon de son âge, Tom Canty. Les deux jeunes gens, dont la ressemblance est étonnante, s'amusent à échanger leurs vêtements. Ce jeu les entraîne chacun de son côté dans des aventures pas toujours désirées.
