Un'edizione inedita e completamente rinnovata del varietà che ha fatto la storia dell'umorismo e della risata in televisione. Il padrone di casa di questa nuova gara tra barzellettieri è Ezio Greggio. Grande novità è la competizione a squadre. In ogni puntata tre compagini capitanate da tre fuoriclasse della comicità italiana, Maurizio Battista, Biagio Izzo e Scintilla, si sfideranno a colpi di barzellette per eleggere il miglior barzellettiere d'Italia. Il risultato raggiunto da ciascuno sarà avvallato dal "notaio" Nino Formicola, affiancato dal volto femminile del programma Romina Pierdomenico.
