海翘(邓萃雯)独立能干，是女强人的最佳典范。为了为自己留点血脉，对婚姻没有信心的翘当上了不婚妈妈。翘的下属高志玲(吴美珩)跟丈夫文景良(谢天华)离婚后与齐宽(林峰)展开了一段姊弟恋。几经辛苦终于嫁入齐家，可是玲婚后的路却没有变得豁然开朗。海璇(徐子珊)是翘的妹妹，亦是玲弟弟高志力(马国明)的女友。翘认为力没出息，施压要玲阻止力和璇交往。不婚妈妈的重担、婆媳不和的张力、姐妹间的冲突，再加上商业社会上永无休止的尔虞我诈……现代女性，应如何自处？
