The kingdom of Wu under Queen Sonsaku has been rapidly expanding it territory's. While their wars has made them famous abroad, at home it has cause concern to Princess Sonken and some nobles who fear these wars may destroy the kingdom.
江東の若き領主、孫策は天下を手にしようと戦いを繰り返していた。だが、妹の孫権は危ない戦いを繰り返す姉の身を気遣いつつ、「自領の民を疲弊させてまで、戦いを重ねる必要があるのか？」と苦言を呈する。そんなある日、孫策が何者かの手により暗殺されそうになるのだが…。
