毎年、予期せぬ事態に巻き込まれる五郎ですが、今年はとあるカウントダウンイベントで配られる【おにぎり】のお米と具材集めに奔走することに！いつもと雰囲気の違う小さな相棒とともに、米どころである新潟・佐渡や山形・米沢など東北を巡ることになる五郎は、やはり今年も行く先々で度重なるお願いごとを引き受けていく…。そして、その土地の様々な人に出会いながら、地方飯を堪能！タイムリミットが迫るカウントダウンイベントに五郎は間に合うのか。生放送中に、炊き立ての新米おにぎりで大晦日を締めくくることは出来るのか！五郎の2025年食べ納めの珍道中と、至高のグルメの数々にぜひご期待ください。
Inogashira Goro (Matsushige Yutaka) is tasked with procuring rice and ingredients for onigiri (rice balls) to be distributed at a New Year's Eve countdown event at Asakusa Hanayashiki Amusement Park. A job request he can't refuse, Goro, along with his Mini buddy, looking slightly different than usual, set off on the long journey, from Sado Island, Niigata to Yonezawa, Yamagata, to collect the perfect onigiri ingredients. As Goro races to beat the deadline, he finds himself hungry and indulges in the bounty of the sea and mountains he encounters at every stop... What kind of gourmet delights will Goro discover this year? Will he be able to finish off New Year's Eve with freshly cooked onigiri rice balls during the live broadcast?
