Mack's father Pete comes to visit him. Pete says he wants to make up with Mac, but then tells him he's dying, and doesn't want to linger, so he wants Mac to promise to pull the plug. This makes Mac mad, and he tells Karen that Pete cheated on his mother and was physically abusive to him and his sister Megan. Later, Mac decides to give Pete a chance and they hug. Chip wants Ciji to sign a contract giving him 25% of her earnings. Karen throws a benefit party in the cul-de-sac. Chip has Ciji sing at the party. Diana, recuperating, watches the party out of her window, and sees Chip and Ciji kissing.
Le père de Mack, Peter vient lui rendre une visite. Peter dit qu'il veut se réconcilier avec Mack puis lui dit qu'il est atteint d'une leucémie et ne veut pas mourrir seul et veut que Mack lui promette de tourner la page. Cela rend fou de rage Mack et il dit à Karen que Peter trompait sa mère et le frappait ainsi que sa soeur Megan. De son côté, Lilimae dit à Pete qu'il n'est pas trop tard pour recommencer à zéro comme elle l'a fait avec Val. Plus tard, Mack décide de donner à Pete une autre chance et ils s'étreignent. Chip veut que Ciji signe un contrat lui donnant 25% de ses gains. Jeff Munson fait la cour à Valene. Karen organise une petite fête de bienfaisance dans le cul-de-sac. Chip y fait chanter Ciji. Diana, en convalescence, regarde la fête de sa fenêtre et voit Chip et Ciji s'embrasser.
