אלי, אם חד הורית, מעבירה את החיים מול הטלוויזיה עם איתמר, בנה בן ה 13, אבל שיחת אזהרה מהמורה שלו מגלה לה שהשאיפה הכי גדולה שלו היא לעשות בדיוק כמוה, כלום. כדי לדגמן לו נורמליות, היא נגררת לקבוצת כדורשת כושלת של אמהות, ושם, בין נפילות, שקרים מריבות ואהבות מזדמנות, הן מצליחות להתעורר יחד על החיים. אם זה לא מספיק, אחרי שנים נטולות זוגיות או סקס, אלי מוצאת את עצמה מתאהבת חזק ביגאל, מאמן הקבוצה ואהובה מלפני עשרים שנה.
