I remember when I was around 10 or 11 years old and my parents bought a lawn mower. It was one of the hottest days of the summer and my new chore was to mow the lawn. After an hour I was pretty exhausted so I sat down in the shade underneath a tree to rest a little. My neighbor came out and told me he would pay me if I mowed his lawn as well. I was already hot, tired and dirty so might as well do it! This would be the first time I would have my own money that I earned. I thought of everything I could buy. I was excited so I finished mowing my lawn and then mowed my neighbors right after. After I put the lawn mower away I sat on the edge of my driveway and my neighbor came over and told me I did a great job. He handed me a whole $20 bill. I sat in the garage admiring the money. A few moments later my mom came out and asked where I got that. I told her I earned it mowing our neighbors lawn. She said good and she took it from me. "This will help pay for the lawn mower." she said as she laughed. I cried. The lawn mower cried with me.
