At a family funeral, Lulu invents a Jewish boyfriend to appease her parents before sneaking out to hook up with her very real non-Jewish boyfriend Ollie.
Lulu's attempt to come clean to her brother Leo only results in her being reminded again of just how untenable her situation really is. She suggests a way of solving both of their problems but Leo wants nothing to do with her unhinged proposal.
Struggling to deal with her breakup, Lulu reconnects with her best friend Sina. Meanwhile, Ollie investigates what it would take to get Lulu back.
Lulu forges ahead with her foolhardy plans, bringing her whole family along for the ride, all while trying desperately to put Ollie out of her mind.
Not speaking to her family or the man she is living with is diminishing Lulu's pregnancy glow. But when a family crisis occurs, Lulu and Ollie put aside their argument and finally talk about what they really want.
