Anne Meara plays lawyer Kate McShane, in this full-hour series which combines the warmth of a tightly-knit Irish-American family and the hard-hitting melodrama of the courtroom. Lawyer McShane is supported by her father, a retired cop, and her brother Ed, a Jesuit priest and law professor, in skirmishes against the politically ambitious prosecuting attorney.
