機械生命体・ロイミュードによる大規模破壊事件「グローバルフリーズ」から半年。沈静化したと思われていたロイミュードたちが活動を再開する。「特殊状況下事件捜査課（通称：特状課）」の刑事・泊進ノ介は、意思を持つ謎のベルト＝ベルトさんや、個性的だが腕は確かな同僚たちと協力してロイミュード関連の怪事件を捜査。スーパーマシン「トライドロン」で現場へ急行し、仮面ライダードライブへと変身して市民の安全を守るために戦う。捜査と戦いに明け暮れながら、進ノ介は事件とその裏に隠された真実を解き明かしていく。
