Shock to the System

John wird aus heiterem Himmel von einem Blitz getroffen. Er überlebt den Einschlag der elektrischen Energie in seinen Körper, doch nicht ohne Folgen: Plötzlich kann er wieder Farben sehen, doch seine übernatürlichen Fähigkeiten hat er anscheinend verloren. Dabei ist er im Moment eigentlich sehr auf seine Kräfte angewiesen, denn ein unbekannter Killer schickt ihm die Niere eines in seiner Gewalt befindlichen Opfer - verbunden mit der Ankündigung, dass noch weitere Opfer zu erwarten sind. John versucht verzweifelt, mit dem Verlust seiner Vorahnungen klar zu kommen und beginnt, auf klassische Weise in dem Fall zu ermitteln. Den Kollegen von der Polizei verheimlicht er den Verlust seiner Kräfte - doch dadurch bringt er sich selbst in Lebensgefahr...

John is hit by lightning on his chest-brand and can see in color — going to see a fresh body, John realizes he's also lost access to his vast supply of knowledge and all the physical talents it provided. It's not a good time as a killer strikes, leaving a kidney from his victim with the promise of more to come. The killer strikes again with two killings as John tries to come to terms with his newfound ignorance and the loss of his money when he can't call the shots for his broker. John is bitter and reluctant to admit his newfound loss to anyone, and a disappointed killer threatens to come after him. It turns out that two women, sisters, are working as the killers and lure John into a trap — fortunately John figured the killer(s) were women and he'd be targeted and the police have him wired and are watching. While pursuing one of the killers John is hit with electricity again and is back to being color-blind and super-smart.

A la suite d'un coup de foudre - au sens propre - John voit en couleur mais a perdu tout son savoir, ce qui est très embêtant car la police a besoin de lui...

John viene colpito da un fulmine in pieno torace. Questo gli consente di vedere a colori, ma al tempo stesso John realizza di aver perso la sua enciclopedica conoscenza. Questo brutto momento coincide con le azioni di un killer che riesce a colpire per ben tre volte. Si scopre che in realtà l'assassino non è una sola persona, bensì due sorelle, le quali cercano di attirare John in una trappola.
