Located in the heart of New York City, The Joffrey Ballet School is home to some of the world's most talented young dancers. These students train hard to pursue their life long dreams of dancing professionally. This year, more than 130 students are auditioning to be part of the prestigious Joffrey Elite program. It’s a competitive ballet team consisting of 10 dancers. Today is day 1 of the auditions and only 30 are getting called back to audition for Day 2. Who will make the cut, watch and see!
After a grueling first day of auditions and cuts, the selected 40 students return to the studio for an intense day of callbacks, where they must learn a mix of classical and contemporary ballet.
