唐末年间，都城的一间酒楼内热闹非凡，商界巨贾李清流（赖艺饰）正在展示自己丝绸庄的金丝成衣。酒楼外是民女龙竹帮老大龙傲一（白鹿饰）与欺压百姓的蛇帮进行的一场生死博弈。原本没有交集的李清流和龙傲一因为金线的失踪不得不联手破案，李清流因为龙傲一消除了对平民的误解，龙傲一也从李清流身上学会了经商之道。不料奸商陷害导致平民百姓流离失所，作为商界代表的李清流被推到风口浪尖，随后其皇子身份被揭开。为保护龙傲一和众多平民，李清流进宫，后龙傲一也决定进宫为百姓伸冤，与李清流再次相遇，两人联手揭露真相。最终，奸商奸计失败，因为两人的努力，都城的上流人士及平民和平共处，共同繁荣，他俩也携手共度一生
