Documentary about sexual attitudes in Japan, ranging from the concept of "enjo kosai" or compensated dating, which is essentially a legitimate form of prostitution, often involving school girls, to the popularity of bondage in Japanese society. The Western perspective of Japan is usually that of a reserved and even uptight culture, and the programme explores this concept in relation to the apparent openness of sex as part of a culture of general entertainment below the surface of polite society.
Part 2 goes into more detail about the role of women in Japanese society, including attitudes to lesbianism and homosexuality.
