James and Frenchman Daniel encounter juicy local lamb, smoked garlic and a very colourful selection of edible mushrooms in the local market. James also joins a local restaurateur for a truffle hunt in the beautiful autumn woods.
Lawrence Keogh joins James in the city of Troyes where he's been checking out the traditional prune liqueur to accompany his cinnamon and plum fritters.
James off the beaten track in Aix en Othe just in time to catch the local early morning market, he and Lawrence find some fresh guinea fowl which they take back to the trailer and prepare it al fresco with smoked bacon and baby onions.
James visits Rheims after a very fruitful stop off on the high sloping sun-drenched vineyards. James and Daniel taste and partake in the Champagne grape harvest.
James visits a vast "pick your own" farm where he finds mouth-watering apples. Back at the trailer James prepares a very French apple tart with quinces, honey and hazelnut creme fraiche.
