There were a ton of space themed games on the Atari 2600. Besides Space Invaders, were there any that were really worth playing? That's the question James and Mike are trying to find the answer to! All the games featured here either have "Space" or "Star" in the title. It's Atari (Part 4) Space Games!
James and Mike play Super Mario's Wacky Worlds, a canceled game for Phillips CD-i. As if Hotel Mario wasn't bad enough this unfinished CD-i Mario Game is even worse!
In this episode of James & Mike Mondays, we play the SNES version of Dennis the Menace This is a 2D action platformer where your goal is to defeat a burglar (Switchblade Sam) as you make your way through stages like Mr. Wilson's home. Sit back and watch as James and Mike give Dennis the Menace for SNES their best effort!
The Action Max was made by Worlds of Wonder and released in 1987. It was an obscure video game console that used VHS tapes as its games! You had to own a VCR to play the tapes. And it came with a light gun (similar to the NES Zapper). There were only five games released for the system. Blue Thunder, Hydrosub: 2021, Sonic Fury, 38 Ambush Alley and The Rescue of Pops Ghostly! Watch as we try out one of the most over looked video game consoles of all time, The Action Max!
This week James and Mike try out Anticipation for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Anticipation was developed by Rare and published by Nintendo in 1988. The game is similar to Pictionary. You have to guess the image that is drawn on screen then buzz in to enter the answer. You can chose from game pieces such as the Teddy bear, horn or high heals. This episode guest stars Bootsy.
This week James Rolfe and Mike Matei play NES Remix and NES Remix 2 for Wii U. NES Remix lets players relive many retro titles with all new challenges. Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Super Off Road was a game made by Leland Corp in 1989 for the Nintendo Home Entertainment System. In the game you race around top view indoor tracks. There are eight different track designs and you can race with up to four people when using the NES four score. Watch as James Rolfe, Mike Matei (and guest Pat the NES Punk) race to the finish!

This week, James and Mike try out the first Double Dragon game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This home port had many disadvantages in comparison with the arcade version, but is a classic in its own right. Near the end of the video, we also try out Mode B where players fight against each other in a one-on-one match! It's time for some Double Dragon!!!

Smash TV was an arcade game developed and published by Williams in 1990. The home console versions which James and Mike play here were published by Acclaim Entertainment. Smash TV is a run and gun type game similar to Robotron: 2084. Robotron used a two joystick method of control which is what we attempt to emulate here by using two NES controllers for each player. It is very fun to play when using this setup for the NES version.
This week James Rolfe and Mike Matei continue playing Blaster Master on NES!
It is a sequel to Double Dragon for the arcade and also had home console versions on the Nintendo Entertainment system, Sega Genesis and other systems. This week, James Rolfe and Mike Matei continue playing the NES game - check it out!

Super Castlevania IV was published and developed by Konami in 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It’s a side-scrolling action-platormer and is essentially a remake of the original Castlevania game for NES. The NES titles are favorites to most NES lovers (well, usually excluding Simon’s Quest). The SNES entry is largely considered the best in the series, and the one all future installments are judged by. It once again stars Simon Belmont on a quest to kill the prince of darkness himself - Count Dracula! Join James Rolfe and Mike Matei as they play through one of their favorite titles for the Super Nintendo!
Join James Rolfe and Mike Matei as they continue to play through one of their favorite titles for the Super Nintendo!
Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts is a horror themed side-scrolling action/platform game for the Super Nintendo. It stars a knight named Arthur, who is attempting to rescue a Princess from a group of demons led by Emperor Sardius. In the game, you begin with a shut of armor, which will fall off if touched by an enemy. When this happens, you are left to defend yourself in nothing but your under ware. There are armor upgrades, bronze and gold, which give arthur more magical powers. The game is a sequel to Ghosts ’n Goblins (originally an arcade game) and famously ported to the NES. This is part one of a two part video where James Rolfe and Mike Matei attempt a full run of the game!

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was a Japan exclusive CD game for the PC Engine Duo (TurboDuo in the US). PC Engine was the name for the Turbo Grafx 16 in Japan. It’s unfortunate it wasn’t released in the US, because it’s one of the best games in the Castlevania franchise. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is the prequel to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Though Rondo of Blood retains the more classic, linear style of gameplay. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was also ported to the Super Nintendo and retitled Castlevania: Dracula X. Though the SNES version had many alterations and is considered to be inferior to its Japanese counterpart.
