آغاز زندگی یک زوج تازه ازدواج کرده به نام زینت و نعمت است که پس از ازدواج با گاوی که مهریه زینت است و آن گاو تنها دارایی آنهاست به تهران می آیند. داستان از جایی شروع می شود که گاوشان در بدو ورود به تهران ناپدید می شود و از آنجاست که مشکلات این زوج آغاز می شود.
